3 Ways or Stages in Handling an Incoming Non-Dominant Hand

In order to enhance our responses and cognitive abilities, training on how to deal with the non-dominant hand of the attacker is very important. The first stage is before that non-dominant hand arrives. Recognizing that the attacker's hand is inching forward is very crucial to our defense, since being aware of that in advance gives us enough time to make a defensive move or both defensive and offensive combinations.

The second stage is when the attacker's hand just landed or touch our hand or any part of our body. Being able to detect and recognize this stage is also very important because upon touching us, the attacker will have something planned on what to do next. He could grab us and slam us down, He could punch us, He could do a joint lock, Control our movements plus so many other scenarios ...

The third stage is the most serious for the defender since having failed to recognize or stop the attacker's non-dominant hand in stages 1 and 2, the defender must be able to counter that solid grab or hold very quickly otherwise it will be too late to mount any solid defensive actions.....

These 3 stages of countering an incoming non-dominant hand must be trained on again and again in order for us to be able to respond appropriately in needed.
